Then the Lord said to me, "Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. (Habakkuk 2:2-3) 1. And be sure of this: I AM with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 18:18-20) A. To make disciples B. To baptize in water and Holy Spirit C. Teach the disciples to obey God's commands D. To go to all nations 3. To operate in the five-fold ministry in its fullness Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-12) A. To have apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers in the assembly B. To equip God's people to do His work C. To build up the church, the body of Christ 4. The restoration of all things Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah. For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long ago through his holy prophets. (Ephesians 1:10) And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself. (Ephesians 1:2-3) A. All things brought together under Christ's authority B. The body of Christ to be filled with His fullness 7. To work with other ministries as "One Body" to further the Gospel of Christ The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13) A. We are "One Body" in Christ---many members/denominations B. We have been baptized into "One Body" by one Spirit C. We are all needed in the Kingdom to accomplish the work of Christ
